Tsys announced today that it has reached an agreement to provide Swisscard AECS AG with consumer credit, commercial card and payment related services.

Swisscard chose TS2, TSYS' processing platform, to support its growing portfolio of approximately 1.2 million cards.

Swisscard AECS AG is a joint venture between Credit Suisse AG and American Express®. Swisscard is the only company in Switzerland to offer American Express, MasterCard and Visa credit cards from a single source, providing the Swiss market with the widest available choice.

"Swisscard is a strong player within the market and marks TSYS' entrance into the Swiss market," said Bob Evans, managing director of Europe, TSYS International. "Furthermore, it confirms our continued commitment to developing our European footprint."

"We selected TSYS from a number of processors as the right partner providing world class processing services to better serve our customers," said Alex Friedli of Swisscard AECS AG.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. TSYS will support Swisscard's portfolio migration in the third quarter 2011 from TSYS' state-of-the-art data centre in Knaresborough, UK.
