His responsibilities include oversight of the operations side of the business, including client services, information technology, and exchange related activities.

Smith joins Rolfe & Nolan Inc. from Prudential Securities, where he spent 19 years as manager of IT and Communications in Chicago. He has also been a member of the FIA Operations Division's board of directors for the last 15 years, serving as its president from 2002-2004.
