Rolfe & Nolan Inc. today announced the appointment of Michael Smith as chief operating officer, North America.
His responsibilities include oversight of the operations side of the business, including client services, information technology, and exchange related activities.
Smith joins Rolfe & Nolan Inc. from Prudential Securities, where he spent 19 years as manager of IT and Communications in Chicago. He has also been a member of the FIA Operations Division's board of directors for the last 15 years, serving as its president from 2002-2004.
"Mike's 25 years of industry experience will be a strong supplement to the collective talent of our staff," said Bob Sylverne, chief executive officer of Rolfe & Nolan Inc. "In a sense, Mike is coming back home; he started his career in 1980 as a systems analyst with our predecessor company, BSI. We welcome his return, and expect his accumulated knowledge to serve us well as he works to maximise our customer service and IT capabilities."
