Atos Worldline, which brings together Atos Origin expertise in Hi-Tech Transactional Services, and Landesbank Berlin (LBB), announce the extension of their historic cooperation in the card business for the further five years.
Atos Worldline will continue to manage the technical processing of the bank's portfolio, including all 2.2 million active credit and customer cards.
Under the terms of the contract, Atos Worldline will continue to process LBB whole card portfolio via its card management system WorldlineTMcore. In all projects, Atos Worldline is in charge of the conception, consulting, development and implementation as well as of the testing and processing.
Since 1985, Atos Worldline has accompanied the development of the bank's service range, including the implementation of numerous card projects with co-branding partners, such as ADAC (Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil Club e.V.), Air Berlin and Amazon; the expansion of the debit card sector along with V PAY and the processing of a travel card in cooperation with ADAC.
"In terms of flexibility and professional implementation, Atos Worldline has convinced us again and again. As we want to extend our market leadership as the main German credit card issuer and keep leading the way for new product ideas, we need a flexible partner with great know-how as well as a high potential for innovation," declares Hans-Jürgen Torkler, Managing Director, Landesbank Berlin AG, DirektBankService.
"As a customer who is focussed on innovation, LBB keeps creating new challenges for us, which we are happy to accept also in the future. Together we will continue to be able to develop services and products from which the entire card market is going to benefit," declares Thomas Maaß, Director Banking & Finance Central Europe at Atos Worldline.
