BPC Banking Technologies, the leading provider of Open System e-payment solutions for the global financial industry, today announced it had been selected by EFX Corp to install a complete card issuing and merchant management solution for debit and proprietary cards.

EFX Corp is a fast growing third party processor with offices in Clearwater and Davie, FL; Atlanta, GA; and Philadelphia, PA. As part of the company's ambitious expansion plans, it wished to enter the card issuing processor market, supporting Proprietary and Pre-paid cards on a new "in-house" system. In choosing BPC's SmartVista solution, EFX also sought options that would allow it to capitalize on BPC's world-class system architecture and processing system sophistication. EFX will be able to configure SmartVista exactly to its business requirements and offer its clients the unique advantages of the BPC system. As part of the implementation, interfaces to several domestic US processing networks will be developed and supported.

"SmartVista stood out from the competition in its broad and feature rich capabilities", said Don Gentry, CEO, EFX Corp. "We were looking for a strategic platform that was flexible and yet scaled to meet our future growth plans and provide us with a clear competitive edge. Together with BPC's implementation and support commitment we have the solutions we need."

As a key component in its aggressive worldwide growth strategy, BPC established its subsidiary, BPC - USA, Inc with offices in the U.S. less than 12 months ago. With U.S. headquarters in Omaha, NE, BPC has built a strong team of professionals with a profound understanding of the U.S. market.

"We are proud to have been selected by EFX Corp as they represent our first US client and third in the Americas overall" said Dale Van Stratten, President & CEO, BPC - USA. "With SmartVista at the core of its business, EFX will be positioned to broaden its business reach, provide new innovative services to its clients, all while reducing its total cost of ownership."

By selecting SmartVista, EFX will be in a position to provide superior integrated solutions to its clients. SmartVista offers a full suite of comprehensive, end-to-end, e-payment solutions that will help EFX get to market faster. From card management and merchant management to payments processing, SmartVista solutions are all delivered from a single integrated, Open Systems environment.
