IPC Systems, a leading provider of indispensable trading communications solutions to the world's top financial services firms and global enterprises, today announced that GFI Group has implemented IPC's IQ/MAX trading solution.

IQ/MAX helps expand GFI's South American footprint by providing specialised trading communication applications for its brokers in Santiago, Chile.

As a leading international brokerage firm, with offices spanning across the globe, GFI recently won the 2010 e-FX Award for "Best Electronic Broker" granted by FX Week publication and the Profit and Loss magazine Digital Markets Award for "Best FX Options Trading Platform". When it came to empowering their brokers with a robust trading communications system, GFI turned to one of the most trusted names in the business, IPC.

Known for its ability to provide maximum resiliency and reliability, the IQ/MAX turret supports redundant network connections to help increase productivity and provide unparalleled trading support. The system also allows traders to prioritise information in order of importance to enhance speed of transactions.

"After evaluating other competing solutions and experiencing the difference with IQ/MAX, we're confident in our decision to partner with IPC," said Nick Brown, Managing Director, GFI Group, "IPC's rapid deployment and seamless integration have allowed us to grow our presence, streamline our communication infrastructure, and connect to trading counterparties across the region."

IPC's IQ/MAX offers GFI a host of features, including 24 speakers for simultaneous phone calls, and a bright, high resolution matrix, which allows users to prioritise and filter information. In addition to improving efficiency, its compact design helps conserve valuable desktop space.

"One of IPC's core strengths is our ability to meet our customers' specific trading floor needs," said Michael Speranza, IPC's Senior Vice President, Global Product Management. "GFI was faced with using speakers in a small, enclosed area with acoustic challenges, but IPC was able to create a dynamic floor to help maximise sound clarity and optimise GFI's trading experience."
