Aegon live with SkySparc for treasury reporting

Global life insurance and pensions giant Aegon has implemented the SkyReport business intelligence and testing solution from SkySparc to enhance reporting from its Wallstreet Suite treasury system.

To meet all its reporting needs it previously had to supplement direct reports from Wallstreet Suite with others compiled manually in spreadsheets using data from multiple in-house systems.

But AEGON can now benefit from automated report compilation using data from all Wallstreet Suite modules and other systems. The solution uses the powerful and familiar Excel as its presentation layer, providing an excellent user experience for analysis and presentation.

SkyREPORT's user-friendly wizards help the user create tailor-made management reports. And once reports are created, senior management can access the solution to immediately view reports on an ad-hoc basis without having to trouble treasury staff to compile data manually.

"By using SkyREPORT's automated system we can produce reports at the touch of a button. Our efficiency has improved as all the information can be quickly collected in Excel, practically eradicating instances of human error," said Marcel Reuser, AEGON Group Treasury Operations Support.

SkyREPORT provides a high level of control of the functionality of the report, allowing employees to input specific parameters; for example, scheduling specific reports to run first thing in the morning. It also allows old reports to run in the system, eliminating the need to rebuild the report while also enabling users to link all the relevant information together for a more detailed view.

"AEGON is a longstanding customer of SkySparc, benefiting from our project consultancy services, SkySUPPORT for Wallstreet Suite and Transaction HUB for straight-through processing," says Thomas Bergqvist, partner, SkySparc. "We're now pleased to be helping them improve their reporting capabilities to deal with operational, compliance and business intelligence requirements."
