In addition, the bank has extended its agreement with First Data to provide debit processing, ATM processing, risk management services and Internet banking services.

Home Federal is a full-service community bank with $1.9 billion in assets and 23 branches serving four counties in Tennessee. STAR is one of the nation's leading EFT networks, with more than 2 million retail and ATM locations, and a First Data company. First Data is a global leader in electronic commerce and payment processing.

"Continuing our long-term agreement with the STAR Network - and expanding it to include deeper involvement with First Data - is part of our ongoing commitment to make sure our services provide value to our customers," said Debra Smith, executive vice president and Retail Banking Division manager for Home Federal Bank. "As a community bank known for personal service, Home Federal is acutely concerned with the customer experience. It's important for us to work with vendors who can rise to meet our expectations for that experience."

"This renewal is evidence of the solid relationship we have formed with Home Federal," said Kevin Barry, general manager for the STAR Network. "We're continuing to earn their trust and help them deepen their relationships with their own customers. In addition, the combination of STAR Network access with First Data debit processing enables them to gain from integrated fraud services and other efficiencies across their debit program."

Home Federal Bank has been a STAR member since 1998. Terms of the agreement remain confidential.
