Collis is very pleased to agree a corporate agreement with TLS regarding consulting services for the OV-chipkaart system.
Trans Link Systems (TLS) was established by the five largest Dutch public transport companies to implement a single payment system for public transport: the OV-chipkaart. Collis has been delivering consulting services to TLS by managing and expanding the SDOA specifications, providing support to improve business critical processes within their central back-office, developing and delivering test tools to test the new OV-Chip applet and security access module, and acting as information analysts and security specialists for the last 5 years. We have also been leading and carrying out the Interoperability Test project for the OV-Chipkaart scheme on behalf of TLS. The aim of this project was to test the interoperability between systems from different suppliers and public transport operators.
Collis has developed a strong relationship with TLS over the years and recently this relationship has been further solidified by a corporate agreement between TLS & Collis. The basis of this agreement is a partnership of mutual support and includes non-commercial sessions with TLS and the Open Ticketing Institute. During these sessions Collis & TLS will share views about how to bring the Dutch e-Ticketing Scheme to the next level.
The Open Ticketing Institute is an initiative by TLS and several partners to make available the knowledge and experience of the Dutch e-ticketing system in public transport (the OV-chipkaart) to other e-ticketing schemes and interested parties in particular regarding the future security architecture and belonging OV-applet and SAM-applet. Collis currently does support the Open Ticketing Institute in the development of a new Security Architecture for the Dutch OV Chip card scheme. Collis uses for this its extensive and diverse international expertise (also in eTicketing standards).
Gerben Nelemans, CFO, Trans Link Systems comments: "Trans Link Systems and Collis do work together already for years in a good way. Collis has in depth knowledge of the Dutch eTicketing System (OV Chip). We are pleased with the corporate agreement between TLS and Collis that reflect the relationship and partnership between both companies. We are looking forward to a successful co-operation with Collis's consultants. Collis supports Trans Link in writing our Open Architecture (SDOA) specification, in defining a new security architecture and in support and maintenance of level 4 systems (online transactions, clearing, settlement and issuing)"
Roel Testroote, Director, Open Ticketing, comments: "Collis supports the development of our new eTicketing standard well through specialized consulting services, test services and test tools. Collis has good competences in security and card technology"
Christian Brafine, Manager e-Ticketing Business Unit at Collis adds: "This partnership strengthens the relationship between Collis and Trans Link Systems. Collis looks forward to working with Trans Link Systems towards shaping the future of the Dutch e-Ticketing Scheme."
