Integrated Media Management (IMM), a document output management and automation technology provider, announced today that Michigan First Credit Union has successfully implemented its TotaleAtlasWeb solution to support its members' ability to securely complete loan documents away from a physical branch, at their convenience and at any location.

Michigan First serves its more than 80,000 members with just eight branches, making it difficult to reach individuals outside of the community. Michael Poulos, president and CEO of Michigan First Credit Union, explained, "Effectively extending business relationships and maximizing member service is highly dependent on removing perceived barriers, like distance for example. Remote signature capabilities do just that, opening up several opportunities for growth and retention while also enhancing our productivity."

While the credit union offered several lending services online, Michigan First needed a way to securely close its loans remotely. IMM solved that problem with TotaleAtlasWeb, which provides protected document viewing and public key infrastructure (PKI) digital signature capture via the Web. PKI digital technology provides the most secure, enforceable remote signature available. Completed and signed documents are provided back to the credit union with signatures that are trusted by the Adobe root certificate and available in perpetuity, even if the vendor that provided the system goes out of business. In addition, the document cannot be altered without invalidating the signature, providing an additional layer of enforceability.

The integration is made possible with IMM's WebGateway, a conduit for non-integrated third-party software applications to securely provide documents to TotaleAtlasWeb. Since implementation, Michigan First has experienced steady adoption among members and expects that trend to continue. The technology was easily integrated into the credit union's current processes, without disruption to members or staff. This has resulted in greater efficiencies and productivity by its staff, as documents can now be sent, signed, returned and integrated automatically into its imaging platform.

"Michigan First Credit Union is a prime example of leveraging electronic signatures and remote document delivery to increase its footprint with members, extending beyond what's available with brick and mortar," said Chuck Klein, CEO of Integrated Media Management. "With our TotaleAtlasWeb and WebGateway solutions, credit unions can improve workflow, reduce costs and enhance member relations."
