Atos Worldline, which brings together Atos Origin's expertise in hi-tech transactional services, and Aquarelle.com, the flower delivery specialist, announce the renewal of their remote payment processing contract. Aquarelle is a long-standing client of the Atos Worldline SIPS secure payment platform for its remote payment transactions in France, UK, Germany and the Netherlands. This new contract covers all these markets in addition to a new market, Belgium.

Atos Worldline is now in charge of the secure processing of virtually all Aquarelle.com's remote payment transactions, which represents tens of thousands of payments every month.Atos Worldline thus confirms significant growth in its activity in the Belgian remote payments market, following recent other contracts signed with e-merchants in the leisure, public transport and catering sectors.

"We renewed our trust in Atos Worldline and decided to entrust them with the majority of our remote payment transactions, including the takeover of our Belgian transactions," says Mr Aubin from Aquarelle.com. "Over the past years, Atos Worldline, our long-standing partner in other European Countries, has responded to our needs and accompanied our development, that's why we naturally decided to extend our cooperation."

Atos Worldline's SIPS solution provides the market with new added-value services such as payment via voice interface, automation of payments and operations, or highly developed reporting, and all this at highly competitive rates.

Belgium's remote payment market continues to expand rapidly and, in 2009, Atos Worldline estimated its value at around 950 million Euros. In Belgium, the majority of e-commerce transactions use 3-D Secure's dynamic authentication. The widely-used national card, Bancontact/Mistercash, has become an indispensable means of payment which e-merchants must accept.

Atos Worldline Secure Internet Payments service (SIPS platform) processes more than €16 billion electronic transactions each year in Europe. The SIPS platform supports all methods of payment including those via the Internet, mobile phone and secure IVR. It also helps to combat fraud and offers cardholders maximum protection, thanks to its tailored authentication and scoring solutions. In 2009, it renewed its Level 1 PCI DSS certification from Visa & Mastercard, thus guaranteeing the highest level of security for payment transactions.
