Erste Bank Ukraine, a member of Erste Group, has implemented SunGard's Ambit Core Banking to help support its customer-centricity strategy.
Ambit Core Banking is a scalable, customer-centric and integrated system that provides banks with an end-to-end integrated retail banking platform for deposits, lending and payments.
Over the past 10 years, many retail banks had been primarily focused on growing their businesses through new customer acquisition. In the wake of the recent economic turmoil, however, banks have reevaluated their growth strategies, and as a result, have significantly increased their focus on improving satisfaction, retention and profitability of existing customers. Ambit Core Banking provides Erste Bank Ukraine with a centralized, enterprise-wide information repository that offers a 360° view of its customers. By delivering integrated functions, Ambit Core Banking has also helped the bank consolidate multiple applications, reduce IT overhead costs, and facilitate reporting and compliance.
Pavel Cetkovsky, chief operating officer at Erste Bank Ukraine, commented: "The implementation of Ambit in Erste Bank Ukraine was part of a large scale project which has completely changed our IT landscape. The solution is robust, scalable and satisfies our business needs for the foreseeable future. We also appreciate SunGard's professional support during the implementation phase and believe this project has further strengthened Erste Group's long-term relationship with SunGard."
Nick Brewer, vice president of global banking solutions at SunGard, commented: "Increasing wallet share with existing customers is one of the most cost-effective ways to grow business without sacrificing profitability. With Ambit Core Banking, Erste Bank now has a single system that helps the bank to offer personalized services to its customers, thereby deepening the relationship between the bank and its customers and supporting both retention and profitability goals. Helping Erste Bank realize its modernization goals is an important milestone for SunGard in its continuing focus on the Centraentral and Eastern European banking markets"
