Digiterre, the leading provider of software products and solutions for the investment management and energy & commodities industry, today announces that it has made two key appointments in its sales and marketing teams.

Andy Dalby has joined as Business Development Director and Melissa Shone joins as Director of Marketing. Dalby was previously Head of Sales, Data Management for SunGard Energy Solutions and joins Digiterre to lead business development activity in the energy and commodities division where Digiterre delivers innovative technology solutions to major trading organisations.

"I am delighted to join Digiterre," remarks Dalby. "It is very exciting to be part of a growing company that is developing innovative and exciting propositions for the constantly changing marketplace that is the global energy sector."

Shone was previously Director of Marketing at Microgen plc and joins Digiterre to manage the marketing function across all its product lines in financial services and energy & commodities. This includes the flagship product, dCRM, which is Digiterre's leading workflow and relationship management system, built specifically to support marketing and investor servicing processes within the investment management sector. Commenting on her new role Shone says,

"Digiterre is at a really interesting stage of its growth where it has a marketing-leading product, dCRM, in Europe with a massive market opportunity just starting to be realised in the US. Similarly it is growing very quickly in energy and commodities trading where it has some truly innovative solutions to core business problems. With its reputation for excellence in product development and project delivery, Digiterre is in an enviable position."

The two appointments reflect Digiterre's expansion in 2008 and 2009 driven by the continued market penetration of dCRM and the development of complementary offerings. CEO and founder, Ian Murrin, comments,

"These two appointments are critical to Digiterre and its continued success as we develop into new markets and sectors. The energy & commodities division is strategic to us and Andy's appointment represents a significant commitment by us to continued growth in this area. Similarly as we are increasingly operating in multiple markets and geographies we needed experience in our marketing operation and Melissa's background brings this to the team."
