MoneyGram extends deal with US retailer Supervalu

MoneyGram International (NYSE:MGI), a leading global payment services company, and Supervalu (NYSE:SVU), a leading U.S. grocery retailer, announced today the renewal of a multi-year agreement to extend their alliance to offer MoneyGram money transfer services at more than 1,000 corporate-owned grocery outlets in 28 states.

"As SUPERVALU has expanded, we've continued to introduce MoneyGram's services across many of their brands and today, we're the exclusive money transfer provider for SUPERVALU corporate locations."

After years of offering MoneyGram money orders, SUPERVALU added money transfer services in 2002, and has grown to be MoneyGram's largest grocery agent. Today, MoneyGram services are available at the following SUPERVALU corporate stores: Acme, Albertsons, bigg's, Cub Foods, Farm Fresh, Hornbacher's, Jewel-Osco, Lucky, Shaw's/Star MarketTM, Shop'n Save and SHOPPERS.

MoneyGram services at SUPERVALU brands include money transfers, ExpressPayment urgent bill payment and money orders.
