Online broker TradeKing announced today the company has launched a new mobile trading site, which optimizes clients' trading capabilities and experience when accessing the site from any mobile device or Smartphone.

The HTML-based feature gives clients the ability to easily conduct a variety of critical actions related to trading, such as checking account balances, placing a trade, and getting quotes on stock or single-leg options trades. The mobile feature was developed in-house at TradeKing in direct response to client feedback. In the coming months, TradeKing plans to introduce tailored software applications ("apps") specifically optimized for use with the BlackBerry and iPhone mobile platforms.

"Mobile has quickly become one of the most important technology platforms when it comes to doing anything in-the-moment, whether that be connecting with friends, sharing pictures and video, looking up information on the spot or conducting online trading," said Richard Hagen, President and COO of TradeKing. "It represents just one more way for our clients to gain better control over their investments by enabling them to log into their account anywhere, anytime."

TradeKing clients can access the new mobile offering by taking the following steps:

* Turn on mobile access. Login to your account, then go to Services > Settings > Mobile and click the radio button to enable. (It's fastest to do this from a wired computer.)
* Create a mobile PIN. Go to Services > Settings > Mobile PIN to create your PIN. Combined with your password, your PIN ensures a dual-factor of trading security from your device.
* Go mobile! Access m.tradeking.com from any mobile or Smartphone device anytime, anywhere.

With this user-friendly mobile feature, clients can now conduct the following activities from their mobile device: log into their TradeKing account, check account balances, place stock or single leg options trades, check the status of an order, cancel an existing order, view their holdings, check their watch list and get a quote on a stock or option. The mobile feature is available free to all TradeKing clients. Trading commissions are the same as those charged for Internet trades.
