IPC Systems, a leading provider of indispensible trading communications solutions to the world's top financial services firms and global enterprises, today announced that seasoned telecom professional Peter Leung has joined IPC as Manager, Hong Kong Network Operations.

IPC's global network, spanning over 3,600 On-Net sites, delivers IP-based Enhanced Voice Services (EVS) and high-speed data via its Electronic Connectivity Service (ECS). Today's news underscores IPC's commitment to the region and follows recent announcements of its further expansion into Asia as well as the completion of multiple network capacity upgrades worldwide.

In his new role, Leung will head the network operations in Hong Kong. With his extensive background in IP technology, strategic service planning and international network design Leung will help IPC expand the company's network services solutions to customers in the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to IPC, Leung had been responsible for designing, implementing and supporting network services at global companies, including IDT and Hutchison Telecom. Leung will be based out of IPC's regional headquarters in Hong Kong.

"I am delighted to have Peter Leung join the IPC management team. He will be a key contributor as we continue to evolve our network architecture and financial extranet services in a region like Asia which is witnessing high growth," said Mark Curran, vice president, Network Operations, IPC Systems. "We are dedicated to helping IPC customers throughout the Asia-Pacific region achieve maximum business advantage by supplying and managing a suite of resilient and scalable communications that enables them to compete in today's local and international marketplaces. Leaders like Peter help IPC stay at the forefront of developments worldwide."
