Pyxis Mobile, the provider of the leading mobile enterprise application platform today announces that BlackRock (NYSE: BLK) has leveraged their products to implement mobile applications that extend critical data across multiple business units.

BlackRock, one of the world's preeminent asset management firms, has mobilized its Institutional, Retail, and Alternatives groups, and additional users are expected to join following the company's recent merger with Barclays Global Investors.

"We wanted a mobile solution that would support all sales systems from one mobile platform instead of a point solution from each vendor," says Gary Bigley, Managing Director at BlackRock. "Pyxis Mobile provides a robust and scalable platform that integrates with the variety of business systems we use today, but also can integrate with other systems we'd like to mobilize in the future."

The Pyxis Mobile platform is extending multiple CRM systems to BlackRock's mobile workforce, aggregating and accessing all the systems through native applications on employee devices. With four different enterprise applications featuring multiple workflows each, Pyxis Mobile is delivering each line of business their own custom application. Benefits such as real-time access to more accurate and timely client information give BlackRock's mobile workforce the flexibility to adapt to circumstances or information changes, translating into higher productivity and improved customer service.

With Pyxis Mobile's best-of-breed Configure Once, Run Anywhere technology, the applications are available on BlackBerry, iPhone, and Windows Mobile devices.

"We are pleased to provide BlackRock with an enterprise-wide mobility platform that offers employees market-leading applications that help drive sales and improve customer service," says Todd Christy, President and CTO of Pyxis Mobile. "By enabling companies to build one application that can be used across multiple platforms, we increase speed-to-market and allow companies to utilize the same core data and infrastructure for all users."
