Global e-commerce payment provider Merchant e-Solutions (MeS) announced today that its payment processing technology has been selected by Ritz Interactive, one of the premier Internet retailers, which offers consumers a portfolio of products on more than 18 websites.

With an expansive e-commerce network including the popular RitzCamera.com,  WolfCamera.com and Boatersworld.com websites, as well as the new ScrapbookingAlley.com, Ritz Interactive was ranked number 16 in the Computers/Electronics Category of Internet Retailer's 2009 Top 500 and number 124 overall.

The Merchant e-Solutions proprietary platform offers Ritz Interactive the benefit of next-generation e-commerce payment processing and business management solutions without having to integrate into multiple systems. MeS's simplified API incorporates all payment authorization, settlement and real-time online reporting into one interface, making it an easy and cost effective solution for Ritz Interactive's shared technology infrastructure.

Ritz Interactive will also be utilizing the advantages of Merchant e-Solutions' Tokenization service, which protects sensitive credit card data during transaction processing. Tokenization provides a secure process to significantly reduce the burden of PCI compliance by eliminating the need to store credit card numbers, thus helping to lower operational costs.

"Efficient and effortless payment is an important element of the online shopping experience and Merchant e-Solutions enables Ritz Interactive to provide shoppers with convenient, secure and streamlined ways to purchase goods," said Ritz Interactive President and CEO Fred H. Lerner.

"Our advanced technology and unparalleled level of merchant services is a perfect match for Ritz Interactive's world-class e-commerce network to ensure their continued prominence as one of the most successful web-based retailers in the market," said Jim Aviles, Merchant e-Solutions COO. "Ritz Interactive's customers will have access to a vast range of payment types including credit, debit and alternative payments such as Bill Me Later and PayPal."

MeS's Internet-based services include PCI compliant payment processing solutions tailored specifically for online merchants, including the MeS Payment Gateway and Virtual Terminal, plus an extensive web-based reporting platform that provides access to over five years of processing history.
