Edge IPK, leaders in eCommerce Solutions to the insurance industry, and CGI Group (TSX: GIB.A; NYSE: GIB), a leading provider of information technology and business processing services, today announced that they have partnered in order to deliver joint solutions to new and existing customers.

Initially, the partnership will focus on UK insurance companies looking to focus on maximising their channel strategy and customer experience. The partnership between edge IPK and CGI will reduce the time taken to bring new front end solutions and services to market.

"There are clear synergies between edge IPK and CGI, and the fact that we share a number of customers demonstrates that our approaches are driven by similar principles - helping insurance organisations to reduce cost and complexity and derive competitive advantage through IT," said Mike Williams, CEO of edge IPK. "By forging closer links between CGI and edge IPK, end-user organisations will benefit from more complete solutions as well as our combined experience within the insurance sector. In particular, CGI's consultancy expertise and implementation skills make them a perfect partner to drive adoption of the edgeConnect platform."

"At CGI we put the customer at the centre of what we do. Through our own products and those of partners such as edge IPK we are able to deliver market leading solutions for our customers" said Bart Patrick, Head of the UK Insurance Practice at CGI. "The edgeConnect platform was of particular interest to CGI. It complements our existing products and services and allows us to provide customers with a complete range of solutions for their channel management."

A number of well known brand UK insurance companies - including Allianz and Liverpool Victoria - are already joint customers of CGI and edge IPK. One such organisation is Arista, a commercial insurance provider: "CGI and edge IPK are existing partners who have both
supported us in delivering ebusiness functionality that now underpins the service Arista provides to its brokers and has helped us in becoming a significant player in the Commercial market" said Dave Cheeseman, Head of Business Systems, Arista Insurance. "We enjoy an excellent working relationship with both companies and I'm sure t sure that their partnership will further enhance the service they provide to us and to others".
