Hypercom hires Bill Mardis and Dan DeBraal

Global payment technology leader Hypercom Corporation today announced the appointment of Bill Mardis to vice president, value-added services, and Dan DeBraal as vice president, processor sales.

Mr. Mardis will manage the global payment technology leader's North America value-added channel. He will also manage the company's authorised repair centre program and parts sales. Mardis most recently served as director of sales & marketing for VeriFone, managing the sales, marketing,product management and contract administration for that company's client services division. A 25-year veteran of the electronic payments industry, Mardis has also served with POS Systems, Inc.,Deluxe Data Systems, GTE EFT Services, Financial Institution Services, Inc. and Florida Software Services, Inc.

Mr. DeBraal will focus on processor product development and certification. He will also serve as an internal product development/certification support coordinator and liaison. DeBraal joins Hypercom from Fifth Third Bank, where he served as assistant vice president, merchant products, Fifth Third processing. In that position, DeBraal managed the product development group, focused on Fifth Third's dial and value-added reseller software needs. A 20-year veteran of the electronic payments industry, DeBraal has also served with VeriFone, VISA Merchant Bank Services, Vital Processing Inc.,M&I Marshall and Ilsley Bank's technology division (now known as Metavante).
