International Cards Company (ICC), a public shareholding company providing comprehensive payment solutions, announced that it has launched a new spectrum of services in partnership with OpenWay, a premier international payment processing software vendor.

ICC has become the first user of OpenWay's WAY4 software solutions in Jordan. Having migrated its issuing and acquiring to the WAY4 platform, ICC now becomes the first fully EMV-compliant company in Jordan. This partnership is a key factor for ICC's recognition as a successful leader in the payment and financial services market.

ICC will leverage WAY4, with its high-speed processing, advanced management tools, and comprehensive card management facilities, to develop customer-centric and flexible payment products with extraordinarily high security. The new platform provides ICC with a greater opportunity to partner with more banks in Jordan by handling their credit and debit card business through issuing and processing. By adopting WAY4, ICC ensures a vast increase in speed and efficiency in delivering customer requirements.

The press conference devoted to the new partnership took place on January 31 at the Four Seasons Hotel - Amman and was chaired by Mr. Khalil Alami, Chief Executive Officer of ICC, Mr. Wim Pardon, Managing Director of OpenWay for Europe and the Middle East, Mr. Sophocles Ioannou, OpenWay Regional Manager for Mediterranean and Levant, and Mr. Basel El-Tell, Vice President and Country Manager, Levant of MasterCard Worldwide.

"We are extremely pleased with our alliance with OpenWay," stated ICC's CEO Khalil Alami. "We selected OpenWay because of their considerable experience with processors, as well as WAY4's impeccable worldwide reputation. This software offers our customers a greater, more innovative range of services, meeting the high standards for which we continuously strive for at ICC. The strong relationship between ICC and OpenWay is integral to the success and continued growth of our existing business, and our upcoming regional expansion."

Wim Pardon, Managing Director of OpenWay, Europe and Middle East commented, "We are very excited to have penetrated the new booming Jordanian market for OpenWay. We are also very glad to have been selected by ICC given their sophisticated business methodologies and advanced products and service modules. We look forward to being innovators in Jordan together with ICC."
