NAB tech insider Gibson joins Adaptra

Adaptra has announced the appointment of Ian Gibson as GM of Consulting and Application Services.

The appointment marks a major step in Adaptra's corporate development, with Ian's unique expertise in business and technology making him the ideal driver of Adaptra's Consultancy and Application Services business.

Ian most recently consulted to the National Australia Bank's Technology Operations division. His role focused on assisting with the transformation of the Infrastructure business, which included virtualising the NAB's significant application server fleet. Prior to this, for over two years Ian headed up the NAB's Business Solutions Management team in his role as a senior IT executive.

Previously, Ian was contracted to CSA Retirement Services, where he led the Solution Services and IT Services businesses and was responsible for transforming their IT capability. Ian has also held the position of CIO for Link Market Services Limited, where he was responsible for transforming technology to improve efficiency and reliability and better aligned the business with its technology sector.

In his role as a Partner in Accenture, Ian focused on the process of achieving major change in business and IT-enabled strategy and implementation.

Ian is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Member of the Australian Computer Society. He holds a Computer Science & Mathematics degree from the University of Melbourne and an MBA from the MelbourneBusinessSchool.
