Thales appoints Paul Jackson general manager of e-transactions business

Paul Jackson has been appointed General Manager Sales & Marketing of Thales' e-Transactions business line in the UK.

The appointment signifies the importance of the UK activity within the e-Transactions business line. The position takes effect from January 2005 and coincides with the relocation of the company's main office from Basingstoke to Salisbury. Paul Jackson reports directly to Christian F. Reiling, Managing Director of North and Central Europe region within e-Transactions.

Paul joins e-Transactions from the e-Security business line within Thales. His new appointment capitalises on his experience and knowledge of the IT security industry gained over the past decade. Paul has worked in a number of roles within e-Security during this period, including Sales Manager for the UK finance and government sectors. Since November 2001 he has been Global Director of Marketing for e-Security solutions.

Paul has a degree in Civil Engineering and has enjoyed a successful 15 year career in sales and marketing across the pharmaceutical and IT security industries. Prior to joining Thales he spent five years working for Upjohn Pharmaceuticals selling the company's ethical pharmaceutical products to the National Health Service.
