Winterflood joins CitiConnect securities platform

Citi's Global Transaction Services business announced today that Winterflood Securities Limited, the international capital markets firm committed to efficient and responsive liquidity provision with integrity has now joined the CitiConnect Securities platform.

Winterflood Securities Limited combines classic trading values and sophisticated modern technology to deliver a range of highly-flexible execution services custom-designed for each client. This partnership will extend the network of brokers Citi is able to offer its clients for Exchange Trade Products (ETPs).

CitiConnect for Securities is an open architecture, standardised global platform providing full trade life-cycle services for equities, collective investment schemes and investment funds, including hedge funds. The equity trading capability provides Citi's clients access to a network of 3rd party brokers, including its own broker Citi Global Markets. This venture will allow Citi clients the ability to route ETP orders through CitiConnect for Securities to Winterflood Securities Limited where they will be able to execute their orders through Win-X, the Winterflood Securities Limited FIX order routing platform which allows clients to either execute their order against Winterflood Securities Limited's internal pool of liquidity or route through to Winterflood Securities Limited's dedicated sales trading desk. The service will subsequently be extended to include other asset types.
