Thomson Financial, an operating unit of The Thomson Corporation (NYSE: TOC; TSX: TOC), and leading provider of information and technology solutions to the worldwide financial community, announced that Linda Jackson has been appointed as Managing Director, Corporate Group, Europe.
Jackson is responsible for continuing to build Thomson Financial's leading position in the Corporate space and further capitalising on the market opportunity in Europe. She brings a great deal of experience to her new role, with a strong knowledge of the corporate segment and proven leadership ability. Jackson reports to Donal Smith, European Chief Operating Officer, Thomson Financial.
Jackson joined Thomson Financial in May 2004, with the acquisition of RAW Communications, Europe's leading provider of Webcasting services. At RAW, she was Head of Global Corporate Sales, with responsibility for building RAW's client base in new and existing markets, successfully achieving sales targets and leading and developing the global sales team. Prior to joining RAW, she spent five years at Reuters in various management positions in the financial television and corporate strategy arena and before that, four years as Producer at financial news channel, CNN. Jackson holds an MBA from INSEAD.
Albert Lojko, formerly Managing Director, Corporate Group, Europe has been promoted to Vice President, Institutional Equities, Thomson Financial and has relocated to the US.
