Belzberg hires Andrew Brenner to lead e-brokerage sales

Belzberg Technologies Inc. (TSX -BLZ), a provider of technology-based equity and options trading services, announced that Andrew Brenner will join the Company as President, US Operations effective January 11, 2010.

Andrew Brenner will join the Company's wholly-owned subsidiary, Electronic Brokerage Systems, LLC as President, US Operations and will be located in the New York office. Andrew Brenner will be responsible for U.S. sales and will work closely with Bob Sheehan, CEO of Electronic Brokerage Systems, LLC. Mr. Brenner will report to Judith Robertson, President and CEO of Belzberg Technologies, Inc.

We look forward to his strategic input and we are eager to benefit from his extensive knowledge and industry relationships."

Mr. Brenner has thirty years experience in the securities industry, including equities, options and other derivatives. Most recently, Mr. Brenner was Head of the ISE Stock Exchange where he was responsible for all aspects of developing a new state of the art exchange which was then acquired by Direct Edge ECN, LLC. Mr. Brenner has also held senior positions at Fidelity, Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley.
