Auscoal Super selects DST's Bluedoor

ST Global Solutions, a leading provider of business solutions and services to the global investment management industry, today confirmed its ongoing success in the Australian superannuation sector. The industry fund for Australia's coal community, AUSCOAL Super, has selected the company's Bluedoor superannuation solution to administrate superannuation and pension administration schemes, defined benefits and coal industry portable long service leave requirements for more than 60,000 members and 2,500 employers.

Ian Mathieson, CEO for DST Global Solutions Australia and New Zealand, outlined the significance of the win, "This is a continuation of the significant inroads we are making in the superannuation sector in Australia. Bluedoor was a compelling choice for AUSCOAL Super and its selection will introduce a range of technology innovations that are creating new ways to do business for industry funds in particular. AUSCOAL Super will implement DST Global Solutions' Bluedoor superannuation platform to help it achieve its goals of improving service to members and reducing administration overheads whilst introducing new and innovative fund capabilities for the first time.
According to Bruce Watson, Chief Executive Officer, AUSCOAL Super, the selection of Bluedoor was based on the alignment of strategic values between both organisations and the software solution's capabilities. "We felt very strongly that the strategic values for each organisation were highly complementary and were key to our ongoing growth. The Bluedoor solution is a fully integrated platform that is designed to assist us in improving quality and customer service and to address the need to roll out future products quickly and inexpensively."
Bruce Watson continued, "With enhanced workflow and reporting processes together with increased data availability we expect to be better informed about our membership and provide more timely information to our stakeholders."
The Bluedoor superannuation platform fully integrates web connectivity, workflow management, intelligent character recognition and document production. It is designed to enable the delivery of enhanced services to fund members and employers, in a reduced-cost environment while helping companies to fulfill their compliance obligations.

Implementation of the Bluedoor superannuation platform will be hosted by AUSCOAL Super and is planned for 2010.
