UNX, a leading provider of innovative trading technology solutions, has promoted executive Jay Hatho to Chief Technology Officer.
As CTO, Hatho oversees a team of engineers responsible for infrastructure management and for developing technology initiatives for UNX's award-winning trading platform. He also works with the UNX product team to develop new processes and deliver new products.
Mr. Hatho previously was promoted to Managing Director/V.P. Engineering from Director of Technology at UNX, where he played an integral role in the architecture and development of UNX's low-latency, real-time market data and trading technologies. He also helped develop custom trading solutions for particular client requirements.
"Jay's promotion to CTO reflects his leadership and contributions that have earned the UNX trading platform a #1 ranking in 15 of 25 industry categories and #2 and #3 in the other 10 categories," comments UNX CEO Thomas Kim. Prior to UNX, Mr. Hatho was Director of Engineering at Compaq Computer Corporation in Singapore, where he created the first offshore engineering and design team for Compaq's portable and desktop division. Mr. Hatho began his career at Toshiba America PC Engineering, where he was promoted from Engineer to Senior Product Development Engineer.
