Laurentian Bank is pleased to announce that it has obtained a five-year contract for the operation of 17 automatic banking machines (ABMs) inside several metro stations of the Société de transport de Montréal (STM).
The contract follows the call for tenders issued by Métrocom whose mandate involves the management and development of commercial space inside the Montreal Metro. The purpose of this call for tenders was to select a sole leaseholder for the operation of the ABMs at the following metro stations: McGill, Berri-Uqam, Henri-Bourassa, Atwater, Côte-Vertu, Bonaventure North, Jean-Talon East, Pie-IX, Vendôme, Honoré-Beaugrand, Square-Victoria, Sherbrooke, Côte-des-Neiges, Viau, and Université-de-Montréal.
The five-year contract provides for the operation of a total of 17 ABMs inside 15 metro stations of Montreal. "We are honoured and pleased with the trust that Métrocom put in us by granting this contract. The installation of the new ABMs reinforces our presence in Montreal and supports the realization of our business plan and the achievement of our growth objectives. Besides other advantages, such new presence will allow for a greater proximity and accessibility of our services," said Réjean Robitaille, Executive Vice- President, Retail Financial Services of Laurentian Bank.
