ClairMail, the leader in mobile banking and payment solutions, today announced a strategic partnership with Mitek Systems, Inc. (OTC.BB:MITK), an innovator of image analytics and mobile document capture applications. ClairMail will integrate Mitek's Mobile Deposit application into its own mobile banking and payments platform, which powers the mobile banking services of many of the nation's top financial institutions.
With Mobile Deposit incorporated into the ClairMail platform, financial institutions will have the ability to provide consumers faster availability to funds and an extra level of convenience.
"Consumers expect to conduct everyday tasks including their banking with their Smartphones," said James DeBello, President and CEO, Mitek Systems, Inc. "Mobile Deposit is rapidly becoming a crucial part of any mobile banking offering. By integrating Mobile Deposit, ClairMail enables their customers to deposit checks from anywhere and adds new convenience and value to ClairMail's rich mobile banking offering."
Through integration with ClairMail's platform, ClairMail and Mitek will provide bank customers with a flexible, customizable, fully-integrated solution, which combines the benefits of all three modes of mobile banking -- SMS, mobile web and ClairMail's unique Smart Client application -- with remote deposit capture in one streamlined interface. The ClairMail platform also delivers multi-level alerting capabilities, which empowers users to conduct transactions, respond to or resolve account activity and now provides users with account details after the check submission process all within the mobile channel.
Mitek's Mobile Deposit supports the payments industry standards for Remote Deposit Capture (RDC), and extends mobile deposit capabilities to millions of consumers who use cell phones equipped with a camera.
"As financial institutions around the world continue to realize that mobile is the strategic channel of the future, this agreement with Mitek further extends our industry leadership and allows us to offer a comprehensive set of mobile banking features required by today's consumer," said ClairMail CEO Pete Daffern. "We have always been dedicated to providing the best technology and services to power the adoption of mobile banking and this partnership will increase the ability to foster customer loyalty and retention amongst our bank customers."
