Broadridge names Susan Certoma COO, brokerage processing services

Broadridge Financial Solutions (NYSE:BR) today announced the appointment of Susan Certoma as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of its Brokerage Processing Services (BPS ) business.

Joining Broadridge from Wachovia Corporation, where she was responsible for overseeing technology and product strategies, Ms. Certoma's responsibilities will include overall technology, service delivery and product development support, strategy, including new platform and product innovations, and the servicing of key client relationships for the BPS business.

As an industry and thought leader, Ms. Certoma is a frequent speaker at leading financial technology events. She served as a panelist at the 2009 CIO Executive Leadership Summit presented by the Fairfield/Westchester Chapter of the Society for Information Management on October 27th, and will serve as a panelist at the upcoming 2009 Waters USA and AFTA Awards on December 7th in New York City.

Ms. Certoma joined Broadridge from Wachovia where she was Managing Director and CIO of the Corporate and Investment Bank divisions since 2004. Previously, she held top financial and technology leadership positions at Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers, CS First Boston and Royal Bank of Canada. Ms. Certoma earned her MBA and BA from St. John's University, and has completed a Special Studies program at Yale University, a Product Strategy program at MIT, and the Wachovia Executive Leadership Program at UNC Chapel Hill.
