Affiliated Computer Services (NYSE: ACS) today announced that the Philadelphia Parking Authority's parking facilities at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) began accepting MasterCard PayPass contactless payments in its parking lots on November 18, 2009.

MasterCard PayPass is a fast, cashless payment option that enables travelers to pay for parking quickly and conveniently by simply tapping their PayPass-enabled MasterCard card or PayPass device on a PayPass reader. Serving three major international airports in the United States, including Norfolk, Miami and now Philadelphia, ACS is the nationwide leader in contactless payments at airports.

"Accepting MasterCard PayPass at our airport parking facilities makes traveling easier by offering our passengers a fast and convenient payment option to quickly get to their final destinations," said Vincent J. Fenerty, Jr., executive director of the Philadelphia Parking Authority. "Making this upgrade to our airport parking facilities fits well with our commitment to provide the highest levels of customer service and enhance the overall airport experience."

The Philadelphia Parking Authority's airport operations division is the latest major U.S. airport parking operation to implement MasterCard PayPass with ACS, the leader in parking systems for major airports, with more than 20 installations. In Philadelphia, PayPass will be installed in 34 vehicular exit lanes that serve the airport's approximately 18,600 parking spaces.

"By accepting MasterCard PayPass, Philadelphia International Airport can make parking payments more efficient and streamlined, and reduce travelers' time spent waiting in line to pay," said Cathleen Conforti, senior vice president, Global PayPass, MasterCard Worldwide. "We are pleased to partner with ACS to implement innovative technology solutions that improve the airport experience for busy travelers."

ACS' airport revenue control solutions will continue to accept traditional magnetic-stripe payment cards along with this contactless payment technology and will continue to work with all payment card providers.

"Leaving airport parking lots can be a time-consuming process. ACS' parking solutions simplify traveler's lives by making this process faster and more user-friendly," said Dave Amoriell, executive vice president and president, ACS Transportation Solutions Group. "As the nationwide leader in airport parking we value our partnership with MasterCard to bring PayPass to Philadelphia International Airport and we look forward to continuing to make parking more efficient for air travelers."

ACS offers a wide range of transportation solutions, including airport parking, public transit agency, toll collection agency and car park operator solutions that rationalize and automate revenue collection. A high service level optimizes revenue intake, while user-friendly tools enhance the customer experience. ACS solutions can be seamlessly integrated into existing environments and are geared for the requirements of the future. At ACS, transport infrastructure operators can find a complete range of products and systems for fare collection, parking and toll collection. The "one-stop shopping" principle enhances tailored solutions and long-term investment protection.
