moneyStrands, an innovative, easy-to-use online personal financial management service, announced today that it reached 100,000 registered users since its public launch in March 2009, making it one of the fastest-growing, independent online personal finance management services on the market.
"moneyStrands has quickly become a fan favorite, particularly with the Gen Y community. That's because we are able to quickly respond to the needs of our customers, adding new functionality regularly and providing a cash management tool that brings the most immediate value to the user. This is a strong point for our growth and will continue to help drive our success," said Atakan Cetinsoy, V.P. - Personal Finance Products, at Strands.
The company's growing user base is attributed to a number of newly added features and service capabilities launched since its initial release in March. The company debuted its first mobile application for the iPhone in April and the application can now be downloaded in all 77 countries where iTunes is available. In July, the company added the ability for users to manually upload financial data and at the same time merged popular personal finance application, Expensr, which the company had acquired in April 2008. In August, moneyStrands announced support for 44 currencies, allowing consumers from all over the globe to take advantage of its free personal finance software.
moneyStrands was developed by Strands, a leading developer of recommendation and personalization technologies to help people discover new things. The company also provides a white label version of its personal finance technology that has been powering the online banking services of BBVA in Spain - one of the world's largest banks.
