ADVFN has launched Market Desktop - an advanced, fully configurable trading screen.

While pros pay thousands a month for the same functionality, ADVFN Market Desktop, costing £4.99 a month, allows private investors to fully customise market information into a bespoke window, just as professional traders do. At a glance, users can compare different stocks and indices or view one stock in different contexts via multiple charts, Level 2 screens (the order book) and streaming news. With one click they can switch to a whole range of other companies and indices that they are monitoring. Traders no longer have to waste time opening up numerous windows and risk missing trading opportunities.

Market Desktop works for all ADVFN markets including US stocks and indices; FOREX, commodities, derivatives, world markets and multiple news feeds. Investors can create and arrange frames vertically and horizontally, link them; create static areas and place a tool such as a Level 2 screen in each. Users have intraday, streaming and historical charts at their disposal and can use preset templates or produce their own. ADVFN Market Desktop puts traders in a better position to react quickly to news announcements, orders on Level 2 and other indicators. They can even run multiple trading desktops.

"Traders need to have an edge. The ability to view data in different ways, switch contexts and do all of this in an instant means our users are well placed to spot trading opportunities before the rest of the market reacts. We are giving them this edge with a very sophisticated, professional product at a consumer price. ADVFN is at the forefront of market data provision and continues to champion the private investor through innovative products," said Clem Chambers, CEO of ADVFN.
