BT today announced that it has expanded its relationship with List S.p.A, a leading provider of global trading solutions, to offer managed network and hosting services for the new e-MID Market platform, a global electronic trading platform for money markets that services around 200 member banks in 27 countries worldwide (including 30 central banks).

The e-MID Market has been successfully migrated to the new platform with software provided by List in July this year. The market runs on a highly resilient configuration with a production centre in Milan and Disaster Recovery centre in Frankfurt.

As a leading provider of managed network services for financial institutions around the world, BT is providing facility management and managed network services for market members to access the e-MID platform using BT Radianz Shared Market Infrastructure. This follows a five-year agreement signed by BT and List in October 2008 to provide BT Radianz services to enhance List's position in the financial community.

Enrico Dameri, CEO, List S.p.A, said: "The BT Radianz shared market and hosting infrastructure is the ideal vehicle for showcasing the performance and functionality of our platform. We look forward to working alongside BT, and together providing e-MID's members with the combined advantages of List's software platform with BT's network services and global reach."

Andy Nicholson, VP, Global Banking and Financial Markets, BT said: "BT's Radianz Shared Market Infrastructure offers a platform optimised for the time-critical demands unique to financial services. This co-operation with List offers e-MID market participants a one-stop-shop for connectivity and hosting and will be the catalyst for reduced cost, reduced time to market and minimised risk."
