Siemens Business Services acquires Serbian IT service provider IBIS-SYS

Siemens Business Services has acquired 96.67 percent of the shares of Serbian company IBIS-SYS A.D., Belgrade, as part of a public offering. With this takeover, the Siemens subsidiary is investing in the further development of business in Serbia and taking another step toward its goal of becoming one of the leading providers of IT services in the Southeastern European market. During fiscal 2004, IBIS-SYS generated sales of more than 10 million euros with 91 employees.

IBIS-SYS A.D., Belgrade, was established in 1956 as the "Economic Office" and got its current name in 1990. IBIS-SYS is a highly specialized information technology provider and one of the most important IT companies in Serbia.
IBIS-SYS specializes in full-service solutions including software development, the sale of computer configurations, complete solution implementation and computer system maintenance. IBIS-SYS's customers come primarily from the public sector, banking and other financial institutions.

IBIS-SYS is a long-term partner of Wincor Nixdorf, Fujitsu Siemens Computers and Siemens.
