"This is a defining moment in the development of the payment terminal, and we are proud to be once again at the forefront of technology thanks to the iPA280," said Philippe Lazare, CEO, Ingenico. Christophe Dolique, EVP Global Marketing and Transaction Services, Ingenico, comments: "Adding comprehensive PDA functionality to a rugged and affordable payment device changes the rules of the game. For the first time retail, hospitality, transportation and mobile brands can add real value to the consumer experience, while generating significant incremental revenues at POS. While the concept has been discussed in the market for some time, Ingenico has become the first to deliver a true multi‐market device. It addresses ‘real world' use cases at the right price point and in large enough volumes to assure brands can consolidate their device portfolios onto the Ingenico device and see estate management costs drop. We are terribly excited by the potential of this unique device and look forward to extending our technology and market leadership position with its introduction."
