Shoreline Trading Group, a leading provider of prime brokerage and agency execution services to hedge funds, asset managers, and RIAs announced today that Fredrik Schilling has joined the firm, focusing on prime brokerage sales operations.

The move is designed to leverage the firm's already established presence, to build capacity, and to continue to provide funds with best-of-class boutique client service utilizing its industry experience and expertise.

Mr. Schilling has been named Managing Director and he brings decades of experience to the position. Prior to joining Shoreline, Mr. Schilling served as Global Head of Prime Brokerage Services for Barclays Capital, and spent significant time helping to build Bear, Stearns' Prime Brokerage offering as, among other senior appointments, Senior Managing Director of Capital Introduction, Product Development and Marketing. In these positions he focused on global business and product development, sales, and marketing.

Said Kurtis Kupiec, a Senior Partner at Shoreline: "Today's market environment continues to present asset managers and hedge funds with a variety of complex challenges as they seek to perform for their end investors. We believe that asset managers, particularly in this environment, will increasingly seek out boutique firms with expertise in providing prime brokerage and where prime brokerage is the core of the business. Fred understands this environment, the nuances of what each client demands, and the importance of delivering client service, which lies at the heart of what we do."

Said Fredrik Schilling, Managing Director: "The Shoreline franchise is focused on helping clients generate alpha and increase assets under management. That focus and capability is a direct response to client demand. It is the platform on which the firm will continue to expand its client base, because it has proven to be effective for over a decade."
