Charles River Development, an award-winning provider of financial software and services to the global investment management community, today announced that Standard Life Investments, the global fund manager with over GBP121.6 billion in assets under management, is live on version 8.2 of the Charles River Investment Management System (Charles River IMS).

More than 120 Standard Life Investments users in Boston, Edinburgh and Montreal employ the system for trading, portfolio management and compliance across equity, fixed income and exchange traded derivative products. Standard Life Investments is currently expanding its use of the system to include foreign exchange and OTC derivatives and is due to go live during the first half of 2010.

Charles River's recommended approach ensured that the project was delivered successfully and on time. The project assessment phase, which evaluates the current client environment, and the implementation phase were managed by Standard Life Investments and supplemented by Charles River consultants, ensuring a smooth transition to the new version.

"Standard Life Investments has been a Charles River client for seven years and joins over 40 clients across EMEA who use version 8.2," said Jon Steward, Managing Director, EMEA, Charles River. "The majority of these clients chose version 8.2 for its advanced fixed income and derivatives capabilities. The real-time market data integration means managers can automatically process these products without experiencing latency. The result is that our version 8.2 clients have streamlined their fixed income and derivative workflows and increased automation for commoditized derivative products."
