TD Ameritrade names David Kimm chief risk officer

TD Ameritrade Holding Corporation (NASDAQ: AMTD) today named David Kimm as the Company's chief risk officer (CRO).

He will join TD AMERITRADE in October and will be responsible for working with the Company's various business units to help identify and manage the company's credit, market and operational risks, as well as overseeing the firm's regulatory compliance and audit functions.

Kimm comes with nearly 30 years experience in financial services, nearly 15 of which have included work in risk management. He most recently served as the senior vice president and CRO for Wells Fargo Advisors, during which time he established the brokerage firm's risk management organization and was responsible for risk strategy, reporting, risk assessments, operational risk, credit/counterparty management and oversight of the company's margin portfolio.

"Introducing this senior role makes sense for us at this time, and we are pleased to be able to add someone of David Kimm's caliber to our senior management team. His extensive work in finance and risk management within financial services will be a welcome addition to our firm."

Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Kimm served in a financial leadership capacity with several other notable organizations, including LPL Financial Services, Fidelity Investments, Cowen & Company and PaineWebber, Inc. He attended Michigan State University and received his master's in business administration from New York University.
