SimCorp, one of the leading software suppliers for the financial sector, announces that Fortis ASR has chosen SimCorp Dimension for its front, middle and back office operations.
Fortis ASR is the second largest insurance company and the 5th largest institutional investor in the Netherlands and part of the international financial services provider Fortis.
Based in Rotterdam, Fortis ASR will use SimCorp Dimension to manage the main part of its EUR 25b assets under management, among which the portfolios of AMEV, Stad Rotterdam Verzekeringen and De Amersfoortse. After having organised a tender, Fortis ASR made a thorough analysis of the available solutions on the market. During the selection process it became clear that SimCorp Dimension was the only system that provides a fully integrated solution supporting all of Fortis ASR's comprehensive requirements.
The implemented solution will strongly improve the investment management process at Fortis ASR and will include GIPS-compliancy (Performance TWR), IAS 39 functionality, legal reporting, compliance and risk management. SimCorp Dimension will be implemented during 2004.
Following the orders placed among others by Mn Services, Rabo Securities, DSM Pension Services, Interpolis and ING Investment Management, this new contract with Fortis ASR further strengthens SimCorp's strong market position in the Netherlands.
