The Vienna Stock Exchange has two pieces of news it is announcing today.

Firstly, as of today, the Vienna Stock Exchange and the stock exchanges of Budapest, Ljubljana and Prague belong to the family brand "CEE Stock Exchange Group ". The four member exchanges account for half of total market capitalization and around two-thirds of equity turnover in the CEE region. This makes the CEE Stock Exchange Group the biggest player among all stock exchanges of Central and Eastern Europe. Our goal is to strengthen and advance the regional capital markets of CEE and to position them internationally.

The four members of the CEE Stock Exchange Group work together in a close partnership. However, they continue to act independently under local management. We have already launched a number of joint projects and have several in planning that will benefit listed companies, trading members, institutional investors and the data customers of all member exchanges.

Furthermore, two joint indices are being launched, with the CEETX as the benchmark index for the region. Already by the end of this year, we are planning to bundle data dissemination for the CEE Stock Exchange Group and to carry out joint marketing activities such as road shows. Over the medium-term, we are also planning to establish Xetra® as a common trading system across the Group. Our vision is to enable members to trade on all four markets under the same conditions.
