Thomson Financial signs twelve new research providers

Thomson Financial, an operating unit of The Thomson Corporation (NYSE: TOC; TSX: TOC) and leading provider of information and technology solutions to the worldwide financial community, today announced it will now distribute 12 new independent research providers via its Thomson Research collections.

Thomson Financial provides in-depth company and industry reports from more than 800 research contributors, including 14 of the top 15 firms in The Wall Street Journal's 2004 All-Star list. Joining Thomson's research collections are:

  • Marquis Investment Research
  • Next Generation Research
  • Redbook Research
  • Sturdivant and Company
  • Tradition Asiel Securities
  • Wall Street Strategies
  • Walton Holdings
  • When2Trade
  • Whitaker Securities

    "We are continuously looking to add to the breadth and depth of the research content in our leading databases and we are particularly excited about these new contributors as they represent some of the world's most respected independent research providers," said Debra Walton, global managing director of Thomson Financial's Investment Banking and Research Group. "Thomson Financial customers now have access to even more content on the industry's most comprehensive distribution platform for delayed research reports."

    Thomson Research offers over 6 million investment research reports, with 2000 new reports added every day, from 800 active contributors, including:
  • 450 active investment banks and independent research firm (as well as 350 other firms on a historical basis)
  • 150 market research firms
  • 200 trade associations
