Graham Jordi named executive general manager, Smarts Market Surveillance

Smarts Group, the global leader in market surveillance and compliance technology, today announced the appointment of Graham Jordi as the Executive General Manager of Smarts Market Surveillance Pty Ltd.

Mr Jordi will lead the SMARTS Group's Market Surveillance business, which provides market surveillance systems and solutions to over 40 exchanges and regulators world-wide. His general management responsibilities include leading a team of talented financial and technical professionals, driving product and business development, and maintaining the installed customer base.

Mr Jordi has over 25 years experience in financial intelligence, regulatory and technical roles, primarily in executive management positions. He has worked with various organisations including the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC) where, as Chief Information Officer (CIO), he was instrumental in building the Australian Financial Intelligence Unit's internationally recognised anti-money laundering system. Graham also has extensive international experience having held senior management roles with Virgin Mobile in South Africa, Canada, Asia and Australia. Mr Jordi's area of expertise includes strategic planning and management and he has specific technical expertise in systems integration and solutions architecture.

Mr Jordi will be based in SMARTS' Sydney office. He holds a Master of Economics and a Bachelor of Science, majoring in computer science and operations research.
