Screen INFOmatch is launching a new version of its INFOmatch data inventory management software, which will include new reporting features and the ability to automatically reconcile invoice information for Thomson Reuters data products and keep track of the vendor's latest price changes.
Version 3.5 of INFOmatch will go into production automatically for clients using the software on an ASP delivery model, and is available on request for users that license the software on an installed basis. New features include Timeline Reports that allow users to track market data spend over given time intervals-either annually, quarterly or month-by-month-based on expenditure by individual users or aggregated across unique cost centers or departments, to help data staff pinpoint the specific business trends driving demand for data services.
"Making your efforts as a market data manager visible to the business is a problem for many market data managers," says Screen managing director Peter Fruitema. "These reports will help identify trends and allow analysts to provide business heads with detailed charts isolating which factors have driven data spend."
The new release also features a module to help automate the reconciliation of Thomson One and Thomson Reuters invoices, enabling market data managers to automatically compare the exchange accesses they are being billed for against their own internal inventory data. "First we look at entitlements-all of the real-time exchange accesses and changes to those entitlements over a given time period," Fruitema says. The software then reconciles this information against electronic invoices submitted by Thomson Reuters, to determine whether the invoice is accurate and should be paid, or to identify any differences between the two that might be potential areas of dispute.
In addition, Screen has also launched a module to automatically update prices for Thomson Reuters products, which are captured from the vendor's Customer Zone Web site, so that users can be sure that the system incorporates the latest product fees, including any changes, without having to manually keep track of and re-key data.
