Infonic names Nolan Phillips COO; opens New York office

Infonic AG, provider of HedgeSphere, the leading product suite for operations of Funds of Hedge Funds, today announced it has named Nolan Phillips as Chief Operating Officer and Bridget Piraino as Head of Global Marketing & Sales.

The company, headquartered in Zurich, also announced that it has established a New York office headed by Mrs. Piraino.

"With the establishment of a New York office we will expand our presence delivering innovative products and dedicated client services to asset managers and administrators of Funds of Hedge Funds."

Infonic also announced it has hired Jane Conway, as Business Product Architect, who will lead the expansion of the product design and management function at the company, and Paul Passant, as Technical Product Architect for the next generation HedgeSphere architecture. These additions are part of Infonic's commitment to high-value product and an experienced and talented team that will steer the company through its next phase of growth.

Background on the new hires:

Nolan Phillips, COO, has a 30-year track record in implementing successful strategic IT programs for global corporations in financial services and information technology vendor organizations. He will play a key role at Infonic with responsibility for operations, client services, product engineering and quality assurance. Nolan has held executive and consulting positions at Coopers and Lybrand, Union Bank of Switzerland, Société Générale, Bankers Trust, IQ Financial Systems and Bank of Bermuda, Alternative Investments Program.

Bridget Piraino, Global Head of Marketing and Sales, brings 25 years financial services industry experience with a focus on strategic marketing, planning and implementation, building brand awareness and lead generation. At Infonic, her focus will be leading the New York office and promoting the HedgeSphere product line globally. Her career has included Aregon International, the UK financial data delivery system provider, and Goldman Sachs and Co's Fixed Income Research group. She held senior technical management and financial services marketing positions with Sybase, TIBCO Financial Systems and SeeBeyond. Prior to joining Infonic, Mrs. Piraino was Director of Marketing and Alliances for CorrectNet and Vice President of Marketing and Alliances at Asset Control.

Jane Conway, Business Product Architect, will lead the expansion of the product design and management function for HedgeSphere, including current and future product positioning, roadmaps, and strategic and tactical management processes. A 25-year business technology veteran, previously Ms. Conway has held senior new product development roles both as a consultant and as an executive with DTCC, Citi and State Street; has established and managed the Global Financial Services practice at Fort Point Partners; and was an Associate Partner at Andersen Consulting.

Paul Passant, Technical Product Architect, has 20 years experience in IT for financial services. Based in Infonic's Zurich headquarters, Mr. Passant is responsible for engineering the next generation technical architecture for the HedgeSphere product suite. Mr. Passant has led design and development of high performance trading systems, IT architectures, and private banking and institutional banking systems. He has worked for UBS, Swiss Stock Exchange (SWX), Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), SOFFEX, Saudi Monetary Authority, and Bank National de Lavoro.
