Orc Software (SSE: ORC), the leading global provider of technology for advanced trading and connectivity, today announced the opening of a new office in Tokyo, Japan to support the expansion of Orc Software's business in Asia-Pacific.

Orc Software's growth in the region has been fuelled by the increased up-take of its advanced trading and connectivity solutions. The Tokyo office will offer local sales, services and support to the Japanese financial community and complements Orc's existing Asia-Pacific presence located in Sydney and Hong Kong. Orc Software has an established customer base in Tokyo as well as a close collaboration with local partners.

"The strategic importance of Japan as a base for Orc's continued expansion in Asia Pacific is clear. With the market's strong demand for advanced trading solutions, we have addressed the need for a direct, local channel for the delivery and support of our solutions. We have a team ready to provide firms in Japan with our globally proven systems and solutions," says Greg Chambers, President, Orc Software Asia Pacific.

"We look forward to expanding on the service we have historically provided to our Japanese clients with the added value of on-the-ground expertise in both Japanese and English. Our local partners will also continue to ensure that our customers have a complete range of resources available when implementing, integrating and scaling Orc solutions."
