MF Global connects to ELX Futures

ELX Futures, L.P. (ELX Futures), a new fully electronic futures exchange, announced today that MF Global Ltd. (NYSE:MF), a leading intermediary offering customized solutions in global cash and derivatives markets, will become an exchange Participant and offer FCM services for ELX Futures, which will launch trading in U.S. Treasury futures contracts on July 10.

ELX Futures received regulatory approval May 27 from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to become a Designated Contract Market, with OCC as its clearinghouse. The initial suite of products will offer trading in U.S. Treasury futures contracts, with the intention of moving into other major asset classes.
