State Street Corporation (NYSE:STT), the world's leading provider of financial services to institutional investors, announced today the addition of private equity, real estate asset data as well characteristics capabilities into the State Street Investment Analytics Dashboard. Investment professionals now have access to increased capabilities and an interactive dashboard with which to view the performance of their investments.
For private equity and real estate investment professionals, the Investment Analytics Dashboard now provides performance and analytical information including look-through capabilities to the underlying assets - both company and property. State Street's Dashboard captures partnership-level data for more than 2,500 unique private equity and 500 unique real estate investments. For each asset type, relevant performance data is provided, including long-term internal rates of return for private equity and time-weighted returns. Customers may choose from performance calculations over multiple frequencies and valuation options, such as monthly (cash-adjusted values), quarterly (General Partner values), or a customized option. Historical data can also be integrated into the Dashboard, enabling trend analysis for key metrics such as internal rates of return, contributions, and distributions. The Dashboard also aggregates performance and exposure information across each customer's entire plan, including public and private holdings for returns and exposures.
A leading educational endowment and long-term State Street customer said of the additional functionalities, "State Street's Dashboard is a cutting-edge way to view our investment results. The State Street Investment Analytics (SSIA) team has their finger on the pulse of what is important to investment offices, which is a powerful, user-friendly on-line tool that brings all of our investment reporting information to our fingertips. This technology, combined with its top-notch service team, makes State Street an invaluable part of our investment process."
"We have added the real estate and private equity functionality as well as characteristic information since the announcement of the Dashboard in April of this year. This rapid development cycle reflects the flexibility of the Dashboard and our underlying data warehouse to add new capabilities quickly and adapt to ever-changing customer needs," said William PryoWilWilliam Pryor, senior vice president and head of State Street Investment Analytics.
Access to the private equity and real estate Dashboard is available to institutional plan sponsor clients of State Street's Private Edge service. State Street plans to roll out additional enhancements to the Investment Analytics Dashboard throughout 2009 as well as to continue to create more customized dashboards to meet the needs of different types of investment professionals. All Dashboards are being made available via the company's award-winning my.statestreet.com online information portal.
