Interactive Data Corporation (NYSE: IDC), a leading provider of financial information, analytics and related solutions, today announced that it has released Market-Q 3.0, the latest update to its browser-based, real-time streaming market data desktop terminal for financial professionals.

Powerful new features have been added to the latest version of Market-Q to enable users to more easily analyze and manage their investments, including a new and innovative workspace design that provides templates for setting up new pages and gives users the ability to easily share symbol lists between pages and share workspaces with other users.

New capabilities have also been added to Market-Q's Watch List tool, which now offers different views so that investors have the option of either tracking a single list of symbols in a Watch List View or multiple sets of symbols in a new Summary View. A new portfolio manager also helps monitor gains and losses. Additionally, Market-Q 3.0 now allows users to export data into a spreadsheet using Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) or Real-time Data (RTD).

"This latest update to Market-Q enables clients to more easily gather, analyze and share financial information," said Chuck Thompson, president of eSignal. "These new features make a compelling value proposition even more appealing for financial advisors and other professional users of market data. In today's highly volatile markets, access to timely, high-quality information is critical and we are pleased to provide a service that gives our clients the data and tools they need to make informed financial decisions in a simple, yet powerful, online solution."

Interactive Data's Market-Q allows users access to their own customized workspace through any Web browser regardless of their location, giving them instant access to global real-time pricing information, key U.S. corporate actions, Dow Jones news and analysis, research from a range of sources, and sophisticated tools, including advanced charting and alerts. This fully hosted, Java-based market data terminal helps manage bandwidth costs by eliminating additional requirements for on-site technology infrastructure such as servers, circuits and routers, while offering complete Internet accessibility.

In addition to adding new features, Interactive Data has greatly enhanced tools that already existed within the service. Users are now able to view more detailed quotes with more than 125 available fields of information on a particular instrument. New fields include dividend data, moving averages, condition flags, and status flags, and the field set automatically changes based on the symbol type, such as stocks, futures or mutual funds. Also, the research tool has also been enhanced, providing a broader spectrum of information about specific companies as well as general market information.
