Infoblox today announced that Old National Bank (ONB), Indiana's largest financial services holding company, headquartered in Indiana, that also serves customers in Kentucky and Illinois, is now using Infoblox systems to deliver essential core network services, including internal and external domain name resolution (DNS), IP address assignment (DHCP) and IP address management (IPAM).

By providing highly reliable, manageable, and secure core network services, the Infoblox platform has helped ONB, which has more than 180 banking locations and over 3,000 associates throughout the Midwest, to increase security, reduce management overhead and produce an immediate return on investment.

"We significantly reduced our expenditures and improved the level of protection of the Old National environment by switching to the Infoblox appliances." said Brad Mathis, Vice President and Corporate Network Security Manager at Old National Bank. "Our previous appliance solution was unable to keep up with our demanding requirements -- the frequent upgrade process was involved and time consuming. After several complex upgrades and ongoing maintenance costs, we made the switch to Infoblox. Within minutes of installing the Infoblox appliances, we knew the complications associated with our previous solution were gone."

The Infoblox appliances are deployed in HA pairs at ONB's data center in Indiana. The devices are linked together with Infoblox's unique grid technology, which enables one-button upgrades and management of all devices and services as a comprehensive system. And, the hardened, purpose-built Infoblox appliance provided a perfect fit to meet ONB's strict security requirements.

Earlier this year, ONB acquired over 60 new banking centers. With the Infoblox devices, merging these new banking centers with the ONB domain has proven to be seamless and uneventful.
